Long used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the edible Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus) Mushroom is known for its nerve and brain health properties. Most of Lion’s Mane effects seem to be connected to an increase in the production of NGF, a small secreted protein that acts as a neurotrophin and has many important roles in neuronal survival of the brain. As a nootropic botanical as well, Lion’s Mane has been found to support cognitive function, and its nervine properties may promote neuronal survival. Though this mushroom is still being studied to determine its further potential, you may want to try this tincture to experience the great benefits of Lion’s Mane for yourself — both those benefits we know about, and those we’re just learning about.
Each bottle comes with 60 servings.

Q: What is the Organic Glycerin Made from?
A: Our Organic Glycerin is derived from Rapeseed, a yellow flowering plant in the mustard family Brassicaceae.
Q: Why make a glycerin-based herbal rather than alcohol-based?
A: These botanicals are made through dynamic processes, extracting heat-sensitive compounds with glycerin. This allows for more bioavailability of the organic compounds found in the herbs that would otherwise be denatured and rendered inert by alcohol. Additionally, by making our tinctures alcohol-free, we aim to make a more inclusive product for all!
Q: What does Neuroprotective mean?
A: Neuroprotective refers to the preservation of neuronal structure and brain health. Phytochemicals from medicinal plants play an important part in the brain’s maintenance of chemical balance, influencing neurotransmitters and aiding in the preservation of neuronal structure and function.
Q: What is a Nootropic?
A: Natural nootropics are herbs and botanicals traditionally used to support cognitive function, particularly executive functions — focus, memory, creativity, or motivation — in healthy individuals.
Q: What is a Nervine herb?
A: Herbs which are known to soothe and support the nerves are called Nervines. These calming herbs soothe the mind and support the nervous system.
Q: What is the content of Lion’s Mane in this product?
A: While this is a proprietary blend (and thus we cannot disclose the amounts of Lion’s Mane in the product), this is also just a difficult question to answer! Most of our herbal products are glycerites, which means that the botanicals are steeped in glycerin to extract the beneficial constituents and compounds contained in the botanical(s).
Rather than thinking of it like a recipe, where a certain amount of x is added to y, it may be easier to think of it like a tea bag steeped in hot water. The tea it produces doesn't contain what was contained in the tea bag (otherwise you're drinking small bits of whatever was in your tea bag!), but the steeping process pulls flavors, aromatics, and various compounds from the bag of tea. The process of creating a glycerite herbal product is similar to this!
