This potent supplement blends vitamins, minerals, botanicals and probiotics to support the postnatal needs of both mom and baby. Traditionally used to promote healing after childbirth, Ginger has been recognized as a galactagogue (a substance which increases milk production). Restorative adaptogen Ashwagandha has long been used in Ayurvedic medicine to help calm an overstimulated endocrine system, reducing stress and a helpful aid in falling asleep. Used to rebuild strength and vitality, it is also seen as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory immune booster. Preliminary studies have shown that antioxidant mineral Selenium (as SelenoExcell®) has been shown to reduce the experience of postpartum depression and positively impact thyroid modulation in new mothers. Choline (as VitaCholine®) is an essential nutrient for the brain, helping enhance memory and potentially mitigating “mommy brain”. Ferrochel® Iron (iron bis-glycinate chelate) has been clinically shown to be 2-4 times more bioavailable than iron ferrous sulfate, while being more gentle on and better tolerated by the gastrointestinal system. Because iron is necessary for the production of hemoglobin, it is vital for adequate oxygen flow in the body. Supplementing with iron after birth helps to replenish iron levels after considerable blood loss. Supplementing with Folate aids the healthy brain development in your nursing newborn, as well as help renew cells in mom. Finally, a probiotic blend to improve gastrointestinal discomfort post-pregnancy, moderate the body’s microbiome, as well as potentially reducing postnatal depression.
Each bottle comes with 30 servings.

Q: Does this product need to be kept in the fridge?
A: These probiotics are shelf-stable, though refrigerating them may lengthen shelf life. Whether you refrigerate or not is up to you, though if you plan on taking them as a part of a daily regimen, keeping them where you’ll remember to take them might be advantageous.
Q: Can I take this Probiotic Postnatal+ with the Prenatal & Postnatal Multivitamin or Liquid Morning Multivitamin?
A: You may want to take multiple prenatal products, just to cover your bases...but doing so may mean over-supplementation of certain vitamins or minerals, which could be harmful to you or your pregnancy. You should be careful to ensure that you don’t exceed the upper limit for each of the nutrients you’re taking, and always discuss your supplements with your doctor so that you can know that you’re getting the right amount for your specific needs as individual needs may vary.
That being said, it should be noted that Iron, which is crucial for a healthy pregnancy, is not in our Prenatal & Postnatal Multivitamin or Liquid Morning Multivitamin formulas. This probiotic blend, on the other hand, contains not only probiotics and other ingredients you may want during your pregnancy, but also Iron at 100% DV for adults and 67% DV for those who are pregnant and/or lactating!
We chose not to include Iron in our Prenatal & Postnatal Multivitamin formula due to the inhibition of Iron absorption by Calcium. The Mayo Clinic suggests taking Iron and Calcium 1-2 hours apart, so when you do decide to take an Iron supplement, it would be best taken separately from the Prenatal+Postnatal Multivitamin.
Iron can also potentially interact with certain drugs or other dietary substances, so it is important to discuss with your healthcare professional any additional medications or supplements you are taking, as well as which may be taken with or without food. As always, be sure to check with your physician or healthcare professional before starting any new supplements. They can help guide you on what is best for you, your pregnancy, and your baby!
Q: What are the differences between the liquid probiotic and the capsule probiotics?
A: That is a great question! We have both liquid and capsule probiotics available for many reasons. Our Liquid Probiotic is a great option whether you are purchasing for just yourself, or the whole family! It is easy to dose out the proper amounts for any age with the liquid formula by using the dropper. Our capsule probiotics, however, are formulated in proper dosage amounts for adults.
There are also different formulas for our Liquid Probiotic and Probiotic capsules. As well, because the capsules have additional ingredients in them (such as Turmeric in our Probiotic Turmeric+ or Garcinia cambogia in our Probiotic Weight Management+), they must be encapsulated. These capsule products would not be shelf stable in liquid form with some of these additional ingredients.
Lastly, our regular Liquid Probiotic was created for general digestive health, while our probiotic capsules were created for targeted support, such as weight management, collagen production, skin health, or occasional digestive issues.
If you aren’t sure which probiotic is best for your needs, we recommend you check with your physician or healthcare professional to assist you in determining which probiotic and dosage is suitable for you!
Q: This probiotic doesn’t have the most pleasant smell. What is that?
A: We understand that these probiotic capsules may have a different smell than our other probiotics; this is due to the choline in the formula. Though we know that choline may not have the most pleasant smell, we chose to include it in this formula since it is an essential nutrient that many women may be depleted of both during and after pregnancy. We also believe that choline is a great addition to this formula as choline is an important nutrient for brain health and cognitive function — for those who are or are not breastfeeding — and for growing babies receiving their nutrients through breastfeeding.
