This tasty blend of B-vitamins contains vitamins B3, B6, Biotin, Folate and B12! B3 (Niacinamide) plays a role in metabolism while B6 (Pyridoxine) is involved in metabolizing amino acids, the creation of neurotransmitters and red blood cell production. B7 (Biotin) is crucial in regulating gene expression and metabolizing carbohydrates and fat. B9 (Folate) is used for the formation of red and white blood cells, cell growth and proper cell division, and aids in amino acid metabolism. Lastly, B12 (in the form of the highly bioavailable Methylcobalamin) is essential for neurofunction, DNA production and red blood cell development.

Q: The percent daily value changed! Why is that?

A: Periodically, the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) changes their intake recommendations based on new research findings, evolving dietary habits, and updated understanding of nutrition. The FDA updated recommendations for several nutrients, which resulted in changes to the percent daily value of our product’s blend of B vitamins. Though our label is updated to reflect these changes, you can be assured that the amount of B vitamins per bottle remains the same.

Please note: although we have updated our labels to showcase the updated recommended daily values, we still have some of our original inventory in circulation. This means that you may receive product that does not reflect the new label updates.

Q: What is the breakdown of B vitamins per serving?

A: Each serving (15 drops) contains 2mg Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide); 2mg Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine); 2.5 mg B7 (Biotin); 400 mcg B9 (Folate); 1500 mcg B12 (Methylcobalamin).

Q: Why Methylcobalamin rather than other forms of B12?

A: Methylcobalamin is a bioavailable form of B12, meaning it will be more readily absorbed into your body. It is also suitable for most people who carry the MTHFR gene mutation.

Q: What is the best time of day to take the B-Complex?

A: B vitamins are best absorbed on an empty stomach and may impact energy levels, depending on your nutrient needs. Morning may be the ideal time for you to take the B-Complex Drops. If you have a sensitive stomach, you may find it better to take the B-Complex with food.

Q: I noticed that the daily value percentage of the recommended serving size was well over 100% for Biotin (B7) and B12. Will that be bad for me?!

A: No! Interestingly, the body cannot store water-soluble B vitamins. As such, we have to regularly replenish our bodies with b-vitamins. It also means that the body excretes excess amounts of water-soluble vitamins through urine, and they very rarely reach toxic levels in the body. If you are concerned about dosage, consult your physician or healthcare professional for further information; they will be able to advise the correct dosage for your body’s needs.

Q: I have MTHFR gene variant(s). Is this product safe for me?

A: Navigating B-vitamins and MTHFR can be tricky! While there is a considerable amount of information coming out on genetic variations and how they affect our biochemistry and health, the MTHFR deficiency is not yet fully understood, including how various B-vitamins affect any given individual. Elevated homocysteine levels, often caused by the MTHFR gene variants, is associated with deficiencies in B9 (Folate), B6 and B12.

The primary concern for those with MTHFR gene variant(s) is Folate (vitamin B9). People with MTHFR gene variant(s) need to avoid synthetic forms of folate (B9), like Folic Acid. Our B-Complex Drops contain Folinic Acid; there seems to be some evidence that Folinic Acid is safe for those with the less severe MTHFR gene variants, while preliminary studies show that those with more severe MTHFR variants may require 5-MTHF (Methylated Folate) supplementation and/or treatment with betaine (trimethylglycine) to aid in metabolizing homocysteine. If you are unsure whether or not you should take Folinic Acid, please speak with your physician.

In general, when starting any new health and wellness supplement, you should check with your physician or healthcare professional to make sure the supplement is suitable for you and your health. This is especially true when there is the added complexity of the MTHFR gene variants. We encourage you to partner with your healthcare professional to determine the best course of action.

Good for skin,nails and hair

I have finished a bottle. It worked for me. I noticed my nails became stronger and my hairfall has stopped. (Well not sure if it's solely because of this product coz I use other haircare products too but I think it helped)
